Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Insight on the Word
Let it be stated once and for all, regardless of what it is or who it is, that prayer will be answered providing there is: faith in your words and no doubt in the heart (Mark 11:22-24); faith like a seed (Matthew 17:20); a faith filled prayer to God (Matthew 21:21-22); diligence in seeking God and believing He will reward you (Hebrews 11:6); and an exercise of unwavering faith (James 1:5-8).
There is an exception however to these “all things.” It is to be understood that “all things” will be given that are promised and provided by God in the gospel. That is, we have the right to, and can appropriate by faith, all the promises of God’s Word.
Through God’s grace, mercy and love He has provided well for His children. For through faith in and acting upon Bible promises the believer is promised “all things” “that pertain unto life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3-4). God goes so far to promise that He will withhold “no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” In fact, there is no promise in God’s Word that the obedient child of God may not obtain, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Today the opportunities, challenges and obstacles of this world lay at your feet. Go out at once and posses your land! Take advantage of your opportunities! Face your challenges head-on! Overcome your obstacles! All you need do is exercise faith in God, which God Himself has given you. To you the believer: “all things are possible.” This is not an empty promise of man but the very words of Jesus Himself!
Speak the Word — Jesus said all things are possible when I believe! (Mark 9:23)
